Carriers want to raise Asia rates again

After weeks of price declines in the Far East-Europe trade, liner shipping companies now want to bring about a turnaround in the market.

Several carriers are planning general rate increases (GRI) for FAK (Freight All Kinds) bookings at the beginning of April. The world’s largest carrier, MSC, and the number three, CMA CGM, have set a target of USD 3,800/FEU for shipments from major ports in Asia to the European North Range.
