All major shipping companies have announced massive rate increases for the Far East – Europe trade effective November 1, 2023 (shipment date). These increase by USD 300-400/TEU.
We believe this is another attempt to artificially increase prices, as supply continues to outstrip demand. It remains to be seen how long this will last and how long all shipping companies will cooperate.
